Caroline Cummings is the Catalyst Manager at Oregon RAIN and an entrepreneur who loves helping other entrepreneurs launch and grow their companies.
Caroline has been the CEO and Co-Founder of two tech startups; one failed (OsoEco.com) and one she sold (RealLead.com). She’s helped raise close to $1M in angel funding and $650K in funding for various economic development and non-profit organizations. She’s also closed several six-figure deals for various companies. As RAIN’s new Catalyst Manager she will utilize her years of experiencing both failures and successes to help other entrepreneurs launch and grow their own companies in the most sustainable way.
She brings over 20 years of management experiences to the table. Before becoming an entrepreneur she lead technology and communication projects at Bristol-Myers Squibb, lead fundraising campaigns for various non-profits, launched and/or helped grow several entrepreneurial development initiatives through her consulting partnership with the Eugene Area Chamber of Commerce and the Oregon Entrepreneurs Network – including Smart-ups PubTalks, the Willamette Angel Conference, the Southern Willamette Angel Network, and the Southern Oregon Angel Investor Conference. She most recently served on the executive team at Palo Alto Software for nearly 3.5 years.
Cummings’ biggest passion (other than entrepreneurship) is mentoring. She has been mentoring “at-risk” youth through various non-profit programs since 1993. She’ll also be launching an online mentoring platform for RAIN where entrepreneurs and angel investors can get matched up with more seasoned entrepreneurs and investors.
