Chip joined the VIP program in October 2012 as a first year intern. He works closely with university staff and researchers to assist in commercialization of intellectual property developed at OSU. He supports licensing managers in completing prior art and commercialization studies. Chip is pursing concurrent MBA and MPH programs and expects to complete degree requirements in June 2014.

Chip is currently employed on an as needed basis as an Environmental Engineer with Carollo Engineering, Portland, Oregon. He holds bachelors and masters degrees in Environmental Engineering and is a licensed professional Civil and Environmental Engineer. Chip is board certified in water and wastewater engineering by the American Academy of Environmental Engineers.

Prior to returning to OSU for additional graduate study, Chip managed heavy construction projects for the City of Albany, Oregon and worked as plant engineer during startup of water and wastewater treatment facilities.
