Matt is a senior in the University Honors College at Oregon State University. He is majoring in Industrial Engineering with a focus in Business Engineering as well as minoring in Business and Bioenergy Studies. His engineering interests include statistical modeling, process design and optimization, resource management, and engineering management.

Matt is originally from Saint Joseph, Missouri and came to OSU knowing no one. He is now involved in the Institute of Industrial Engineers (Event Coordinator), Society of Manufacturing Engineers, Alpha Pi Mu Industrial Engineers Honor Society (Vice President), and  Mortar Board among others. He was also the founder of the Oregon State Club Baseball team in 2010 and now acts as a player/manager for the team.

He is excited to be working as an intern in the OSU Venture Accelerator Program. This position gives him the opportunity to combine his passion for systems thinking and management with his interests in entrepreneurship and how to build successful businesses. It is exhilarating to be in an environment of innovation and invention.

His future aspirations are grand and would like to incorporate nature into his future job. He loves to hike and mountain climb as well as write poetry and collect baseball cards.
