Mr. Gulick retired as chief technology officer of Planar Systems, a global leader in specialty display systems, in 2007. 

Mr. Gulick retired as chief technology officer of Planar Systems, a global leader in specialty display systems, in 2007.  He joined Planar following the acquisition of Clarity Visual Systems, a company he founded in 1995 that grew to be recognized as a leading provider of networked visual information.  Mr. Gulick was also a co-founder of InFocus Corporation, and served as chief executive officer and chief technology officer for Motif, Inc., a joint venture between InFocus and Motorola, Inc.   Currently, Mr. Gulick serves on the board of the Children’s Cancer Association.  He has previously served on the boards of Entrepreneurs Foundation of the Northwest and the Oregon Entrepreneurs Network. Mr. Gulick earned his B.S. in electrical engineering and computer science from University of California, Berkeley.   He holds 17 patents in the field of electronic displays and related technologies.   Mr. Gulick was a Weatherford Award honoree in 2011. His son, Dylan Gulick, earned his B.S. in computer science from Oregon State University in 2009
