A unique collaboration between Oregon State and the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL), the Microproducts Breakthrough Institute (MBI) houses laboratories for research and development, fabrication facilities and office space for emerging companies, taking ideas in the micro and nano area from concept to commercialization. Core competencies include microchannel heat and mass transfer processes, energy systems, microreactor technologies, nanoparticle synthesis and fabrication of microchannel components. The MBI offers industry access to fabrication, metrology and characterization resources through university-industry collaborations and on a fee-for-service basis.
