Services include fundraising, capital roadmaps, business and corporate development. Prior to forming Blacksmith Ventures, Mr. Kesselring served as General Partner at GMG Capital Partners, a venture capital fund managing over $300 million. While with GMG Capital Partners, Mr. Kesselring also served as CEO of Kenai Systems (a portfolio company), a web services and SOA security software company from May 2004 to its sale to Forum Systems in February 2006. From 1998 to early 1999, Mr. Kesselring served as vice president of business development for J. Stream, Inc, a digital rights management and electronic publisher tools start-up enterprise. From 1996 to 1998, Mr. Kesselring served as vice president of product development for Innovus Corporation (INUS), where he oversaw development of product strategies and strategic industry relationships. From 1993 to 1996, Mr. Kesselring was the director of component architecture for Novell, Inc., overseeing the marketing and development of the industry-wide component architecture project code named OpenDoc. From 1990 to 1993, Mr. Kesselring was an Industry Analyst at Dataquest, Inc., covering the personal and workgroup software markets.
