After earning a Ph.D. in nuclear engineering from Oregon State University, Dr. Lorenzini began his career with Atomics International, a division of Rockwell International in 1970. While working for Rockwell, Dr. Lorenzini earned a JD from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles in 1975. He left Rockwell in 1976 to join a law firm in Portland, Oregon. He re-joined Rockwell International in 1979. In 1984, he was appointed Vice President and General Manager of Rockwell’s Hanford Operations, a position he held until 1987. In 1987 he joined PacifiCorp, an electric utility company in Portland, Oregon where he served in several executive management positions, including President of Pacific Power & Light; Chief Executive Officer, PacifiCorp Turkey; and CEO, Powercor Australia. He retired in September 2000.
